Membership
Eligibility
Membership in the Butternut & Schnur Lake Association (BSLA) is open to any individual who is 18 years old or older who resides on or within one mile of either Butternut or Schnur Lake for at least one month during each calendar year, or any individual who owns real estate within that same one-mile area.
Dues
Membership dues are currently $25.00 per year and are due by the annual meeting each year. In order to retain voting rights and receive all Association communications, dues must be paid by the date of the Association’s annual meeting which is currently being held around Labor Day each year.
Benefits
The main benefit is that through your membership, you are supporting the efforts of the Association to improve our lakes. Membership dues are the main source of revenue for the Association and go toward funding the various lake projects undertaken by the Association throughout the year.
A second benefit is to keeping informed on what is happening with or concerning our lakes. This includes information on zoning issues, DNR rulings, Association projects, the health of the fish population and water quality.
So, why wait? Take an active interest in our lakes. Become a member today!
Volunteering with the BSLA is a way to have some fun while joining with others to care for our waters. Whether you can help for an hour once a year, or would like to be more regularly involved, future generations and our lakes and rivers will be the beneficiaries of your efforts. Please take a moment to consider giving of your time and talents with one or more of the varied volunteer opportunities available through the BSLA.
